As a busy mom, finding quick and easy recipes I can whip up after a long day is a must. That’s where my trusty air fryer comes in so handy. This parmesan crusted chicken tossed with mayo is the ultimate lazy yet delicious weeknight meal.

It came as a happy surprise to discover how well breaded, fried foods can turn out in the air fryer. Without all the mess and grease of deep frying, I get golden brown crispiness on the outside of the chicken with moist, juicy meat inside. Using panko breadcrumbs and parmesan adds so much flavor too.

My family absolutely devours this air fryer chicken. The combo of crunchy crust, creamy cool mayo and tender chicken is simply perfection in every bite. Best of all, it comes together in under 30 minutes! Now, here is the easy recipe:

1. Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper


Preheat air fryer to 380°F. Place mayonnaise in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix panko, parmesan, garlic powder, paprika and season with salt and pepper.

Working with one at a time, coat chicken breasts in mayo then dredge in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Working in batches, place breasts in air fryer basket and cook 12-15 minutes until golden brown and chicken is cooked through.

Serve chicken hot, drizzled with any leftover mayo if desired. Enjoy as is or with your favorite air fryer sides like Brussels sprouts or fries.
