- 1 center-cut ham steak in bone (3½ inch thick)
- 5-5½ tablespoons Brown sugar
- 5-5½ tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the skillet)
- A wide skillet, paper towels, & tongs

Step 1: Begin by removing the ham steak from the packet and pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 2: Place the skillet on the stove on high heat. Grease the skillet with oil.
Step 3: Once the skillet is hot, transfer the whole ham steak into it. Cook this side for a minute on high heat, then lower the heat to medium and continue cooking for 3 more minutes.
