  • 2 cups of vegetable broth (or water)

It takes about 25 minutes to cook quinoa on the stovetop & takes about 30 minutes to cook quinoa in the Rice Cooker

Instructions – How To Cook Quinoa on the Stovetop

Step 1: Pour the vegetable broth in a medium-sized pot and add the rinsed quinoa seeds with quinoa to water ratio is 1 cup Quinoa (rinsed): 2 cups of water, then season with salt and mix. If you want to add more flavor you can add 1 teaspoon olive oil

Step 2: Place the pot on the stove on high heat and bring it to a rolling boil.

Step 3: As soon as you notice the bubbling water, adjust the heat to low. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer for 14-15 minutes.

Step 4: Turn off the stove but do not uncover the pot. Let the cooked quinoa rest for 10 minutes. Lastly, uncover, fluff up, and enjoy or you can use it to make easy quinoa recipes vegan.

Instructions – How To Cook Quinoa in a Rice Cooker

Step 1: After you have rinsed the quinoa, put it in a rice cooker.

Step 2: Add the water and season with salt. Mix everything and ensure the quinoa seeds are submerged in water rather than sticking to the sides. The quinoa to water ratio in the rice cooker similar to when you cook Quinoa on the stovetop

Step 3: Now, plug in the rice cooker, close the lid and turn on the cook button. (* If your rice cooker has a ‘white rice’ button, you can press that instead).

Step 5: After the quinoa is cooked through, turn off the rice cooker, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes covered. Then remove the lid, fluff up the quinoa, and serve.
