I am so excited to share one of my favorite and most comforting chicken recipes with all of you – my Marry Me Chicken. As the name suggests, this is a recipe that is simply irresistible and may even have someone proposing! I know that when I make this for my loved ones, it has certainly warmed their hearts and stomachs.

There is something so satisfying about a delicious homecooked meal, and this chicken recipe in particular always feels like a hug. When I’m feeling down or just need some cozy comfort, putting this one together never fails to make me feel better. The tender chicken, creamy sauce and buttery noodles come together in such a soul-warming way. After one bite, all your cares just melt away.

1. How To Make Mary Me Chicken


  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts
  • 1 1⁄2 cups sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 pound egg noodles
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place chicken breasts in a 9×13 baking dish and season with salt and pepper.

In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise and dry onion soup mix until well combined. Pour sauce over chicken, making sure to coat the breasts evenly.

Cover dish with foil and bake for 1 hour, until chicken is cooked through and sauce is bubbly.

While chicken is baking, bring a large pot of salted water to boil over high heat. Once boiling, add egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return noodles to pot. Add butter and toss to coat evenly.

When chicken has finished baking, remove foil. Serve chicken and sauce over buttered noodles. Enjoy!
