1. Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Crema
Ingredients
For the Shrimp
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper
For the Crema
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp milk
- Lime juice to taste
- Salt to taste
To serve
- 8 small corn tortillas, warmed
- Shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, lime juice and salt/pepper. Let marinate 20 mins.
Meanwhile, mash avocado in a bowl then stir in sour cream, milk and season with lime, salt.
Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add shrimp mix and cook 2-3 mins per side until pink. Serve shrimp tacos topped with avocado crema, lettuce, pico and hot sauce if liked. Enjoy!
