The combination of sweet, juicy watermelon and tangy citrus creates a wonderfully refreshing and hydrating non-alcoholic beverage. The raw honey provides a subtle sweetness to balance the tartness of the lemon or lime.

1. Watermelon Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 4 cups ice
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Watermelon slices for garnish
  • Lemon or lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

In a blender, puree the cubed watermelon until smooth.

Strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard any remaining pulp.

In a large pitcher, combine the strained watermelon juice, freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice, and raw honey. Stir until the honey has fully dissolved.

Fill glasses with ice cubes.

Carefully pour the watermelon lemonade/limeade over the ice.

Garnish each glass with a few fresh mint leaves, a thin slice of watermelon, and a lemon or lime wedge.

Serve this Watermelon Lemonade/Limeade on a hot summer day, or enjoy it as a guilt-free mocktail option. The vibrant colors and fresh garnishes make it a beautiful and appetizing drink.

For an extra fancy presentation, you can also freeze the watermelon puree into ice cube trays to use as “watermelon ice cubes” in the drinks.

Cheers to this delightful and healthy summertime sipper!
