I have to admit, when I first heard of cooking steak in an air fryer I was a bit skeptical. How could those tiny pieces of meat get perfectly browned and stay tender inside such a small appliance? Well let me tell you, I was blown away by the results. These bites deliver big steak flavor despite their small size.

The best part is that they come together in no time at all. No need to heat up the oven or grill – just some simple seasoning and a 15 minute cook is all it takes. Even on my busiest evenings, I can feel good about giving my family a satisfying dinner thanks to this easy recipe. And the cleanup is minimal too, just tossing the fryer basket.

Now for the recipe! This serves 4 as an appetizer or 2 as a light meal. Bellow is all you need make:

1. Air Fryer Steak Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 lb top sirloin or blade steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • Blue cheese or ranch for dipping

Instructions

Toss the cubed steak generously with the salt, pepper, garlic powder and thyme in a bowl until all pieces are well coated. Working in batches to avoid overcrowding, lay the steak pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cook for 7-9 minutes at 390°F, flipping halfway, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness (I go for medium-rare at 135°F). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve steak bites warm with your choice of blue cheese, ranch or other creamy sauces for dipping. They are simply heavenly on their own but sauces take them over the top.

I hope you give these air fryer steak bites a try! They’ve become one of my favorite easy weeknight meals. Don’t be surprised when this becomes a new staple in your house too.
